Cambrian Fuel card services launch new website
Cambrian Fuelcard services are pleased to announce the launch of their brand new business Cambrian Training Services and it website www.driverscpctraining.com. Cambrian traditionally provides a fuel card business for its client base but more and more we see the need to offer a wider service so we can ultimately be a ‘one stop shop’ looking after all of our client’s needs.
New legislation means that new and existing PCV and LGV drivers need to go through 35 hours of targeted training known as Drivers CPC. It is applicable to all LGV and PCV drivers who drive in the UK and has evolved from the EU Directive 2003/59 which aims to improve the knowledge and skills of professional drivers.
This legislation is split into two parts covering both new and existing drivers with new drivers needing to obtain the initial qualification alongside their vocational licence and existing drivers needing to undertake periodic training every 5 years. Driver CPC came into force on 10th September 2008 for PCV drivers and the 10th September 2009 for LGV drivers.
As we are a dedicated transport business we have set up Cambrian Training Services to deliver driver CPC training across the UK at centres accessible to everyone. This service is available to existing clients and also any business with a need in this area, we have supplemented our existing training team with experts in delivering this type of training program and have access to a number of training centres throughout the UK ensuring our customers don’t have to travel far to receive their training
.
The new website has been designed to help you understand the requirements of CPC and to allow you access to our specialist team who can advise you on your needs.
The website has the same look and feel as our fuel card offering, this enables existing clients a known format that they use and like and offers new clients a website design that we know works and is used widely in the transport industry.
Darren Stockton, managing Director of Cambrian Fuelcard Services said
“We are delighted that we now have our Drivers CPC offering up and running, hopefully the new website will inform all businesses about their requirements under this new piece of legislation.
We are able to train people at a location near to them and keep the impact of time away on their office to a minimum. We look forward to meeting with and helping companies throughout the UK.”
